Karin's practice combines painting, mixed media and found objects, often reflecting both the realities of Valley life and wider observations on the world around her. Her work balances a sense of place with universal themes, creating pieces that feel personal, layered, and authentic.
Over the years, Karin has exhibited widely - both solo and as part of group shows — including at The Museum of Modern Art Wales, The Globe at Hay, Cardiff Made, and the Advocate Gallery in London. During her years living in Brecon, she co-founded the Brecon Women’s Festival and continues to curate its annual art exhibition. Since returning to Aberdare in 2018, she remains actively involved in the Welsh art scene.
Today, alongside her own artistic practice, Karin shares her passion for art through Rainmaker Art Studio, encouraging others to discover their creativity through workshops, group events and one-to-one sessions.
